A lucid and nightmarish childhood vision becomes manifested as an arc of tangible projects.
The presence of two inconceivably massive and inconceivably dense metal spheres, hanging, neither suspended nor floating but there above me. They are imperceptibly moving apart at sub-glacial speed, but their separation is constrained by a single hair-fine thread. The breaking of this fine thread that holds them together unleashes the purest horror, the end of everything, eternal darkness. Fear - redux.

The Haunting talks about premonitions of disaster. It is both a warning and a harbinger.

The projects that come from this event combine a reduced dystopian science fiction aesthetic with a commentary on our current attitudes and fears towards uncertain and unstable futures. The instability and fragility of everything we know. The ubiquitous, ominous and shadowy agencies that threaten to break it. Existential threats.

It speaks of apocalypse fetishism and deep rooted fears. It speaks of deep time, impermanence and the liberation of losing control.

It is entirely possible that The Haunting is the reason for the existence of all the pre/post-apocalyptic work produced by this particular artist. To reflect this idea, The Haunting series has been developed as an umbrella arc that includes (to date) the projects:

The Ends of Everythings

Micropalypse

Micropalypse Modular

Catastrophe Jangled Hideously Out of Process
